our vision....
|
to
build a radical church of 120 committed members
from
which to plant other village churches.
We
hope to do this prayer, local housegroups and evangelism |
|
|
| why radical? |
...because anything else isn’t worth getting out of bed for.
Radical means returning to the root. We want to experience and
demonstrate authentic Christianity as revealed in the Bible, not
something that people have invented.
|
|
|
| why 120? |
...because we wouldn’t be able to fit any more in the
village hall! ... and at that size we
can give away a whole bunch of people and still remain viable
.... and it will be very difficult to achieve – so by aiming
for it we give glory to God for whom nothing is too difficult. |
|
|
| why committed? |
...because we can only hope to plant other churches with people
with passion to see the gospel bear fruit. Committed doesn’t
mean smart, mature or knowledgeable – it just means ready to
make sacrifices (time, money, prestige) for the great prize and
privilege of seeing God glorified. |
|
|
|
why
plant other churches?
|
...because we want to see
churches built, on the values we see in the New Testament, in
all the communities around us – we want everyone to be able to
walk to church. |
